Live Launch of the Guidelines, IFAA and FA platform

The Global First Aid Reference Centre (GFARC) of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, IFRC, is officially launching the first aid harmonization pack consisting in the International First Aid, Resuscitation and Education Guidelines 2020, the International First Aid Attestation and the GFARC Platform live on the IFRC’s social media channels today, Monday 15th February 2021 at 5.00.p.m Seychelles time.

The GFARC – created in 2012 by the IFRC and the French Red Cross – seeks to support learning and knowledge sharing for first aid practitioners worldwide. The Red Cross Society of Seychelles, RCSS, through one of its volunteers, Ms Sandra Sabury, has played a very active and supporting role in the drafting of this very important document. “The production of the 2020 International First Aid and Resuscitation Guidelines (IFARG) is of huge importance as it is considered the main reference for all Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. In order to generate this guide, enormous work and efforts were invested especially from the Red Cross Society of Seychelles’ staff. On that account, the GFARC would love to thank Ms. Sandra Sabury, who took part of the Education working group. We are grateful that Ms. Sabury successfully engaged in this process, she combined technical skills, quality human relations and rigor to ensure an excellent outcome of this mission”, says the IFRC.

This international collective effort involved more than forty-five (45) National Societies, as well as Reference Centres and the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC. The RCSS is also looking into the possibility of streaming the event live as well on its social media pages (We will confirm). The Media can access the event as per details below:

We will also share the guidelines with you all, after the launch.
